Haslingden derives from Hazeldean or Valley of the Hazels. It lies 19 miles north of Manchester in the County of Lancashire. A area at one time noted in particular for its Stone, it also played a big part in the Woollen and then later Cotton Industries from the 18th and through the 19th and early to mid 20th Century... It is steeped in Local History and can also boast to have one of the most beautiful Natural Valleys around, where thousands come and visit annually

Exhibition 2019 (St. Veronicas, Helmshore on 1st and 2nd June 2019)
During the 2019 exhibition we put out donation boxes in the hope that we would cover the expense of hiring the hall for the two days but never expected to exceed that amount by £335. The decision was taken by the team to put the money towards a new bench for Haslingden Cemetery to replace the one in memory of the 2nd World War Soldiers which had sadly collapsed. The new bench will commemorate all the soldiers from both World Wars from the area and after securing the rest of the funds the bench was put in place and dedicated on the 9th November 2019.
