Grane Tea Gardens at Kettlewell Hall by Jackie Ramsbottom

"On a Beautiful sunny day I don't know of a prettier place in Lancashire in which to take tea". A quote from the Haslingden Guardian on the subject of Grane Tea Gardens at the height of their popularity during the 1920's and 1930's. The tea gardens, run by Mr & Mrs Cronshaw were based at Kettlewell Hall and as many as 3000 people would visit them on a sunny Easter weekend. The above photograph show Mr and Mrs Cronshaw and also views of the Tea Gardens which ran until 1941. (Click over photo to enlarge)
