Haslingden's Earliest Buses......






Here is a couple of photos of Haslingden's very first bus No.1 (B2113), which operated a regular service between Haslingden and Helmshore 1907-1908...the bus was a Leyland “X” type 35 H.P.18 seat body (originally 20 inc. seats against driver). In service to Helmshore 12/11/07
Last Ran Sat 24/7/09 and later Converted to Tower Wagon...



above -  Haslingden's second bus which is registration No.B3455
 and this was a 12 str which came into service in 1919 and withdrawn in 1920.




The above photo is the third in the fleet reg no: TB 2518
 Austin/Barnes 22 seater. In Service 1920 to 1929..




above:  The next in the fleet wasTC8566 shown here parked up
 outside of the late  Helmshore Station.





The next in the fleet was TD4047, No.2 a 32 seater GUY
 converted to 30 seat in 1931. 
Worked on the Helmshore Route 1925-1933....

Old Rossendale Tram which for many years was seen at the front of SPOUT HOUSE.
The tram is currently in the Manchester Transport Museum where it is being renovated.
